WHAT TO EXPECT

Pilgrimage Journeys are typically at least a week long. These are made significant by the meaning of the destination, the meaning of the route to the destinations, or a combination of the two.

We select pilgrimage routes and destinations to identify and explore meaning in our lives by putting our lives into the context of those who have come before us, and those who will follow after us.

We love that pilgrimages are to destinations (or via routes) that have deep cultural or even personal meaning. Although we often think of pilgrimages in terms of religious significance – for example, carrying out the Hajj in the Muslim tradition, or walking the Camino de Santiago for Roman Catholics – there can be pilgrimages of meaning outside of these explicitly religious contexts. We’ve personally been on pilgrimages to visit places that have great importance to motorcyclists, like the Alps and the Isle of Man.

In addition to the mindfulness work that takes place both on and off the motorcycle – something that’s always included with every Journey – we’ll individually and collectively explore the meaning of the route and the destination in our lives and in our culture.

Through this, we’ll come to know ourselves (and each other) better, and this experience will help in the process of revealing our paths.
